Testimonials

“I could not recommend Paws and Praise enough for boarding (as well as training)! Our dog is the love of our lives and we take her safety more important than our own, so it felt like a no brainer to have Savannah take care of our baby girl while we were out of town. We felt confident and comfortable throughout our entire trip knowing that Bluebell was getting 1:1 time, supervised play with other dogs of likeminded temperaments, light training, and lots of love — something that you’d be hard pressed to find at any other boarding facility!!! We will strictly be using Paws and Praise as our boarder going forward because it’s equally a vacation for Bluebell as it is for us. I think she likes Savannah more anyways. 🤣” -Mary S

“Savannah and another dog trainer both worked with my dog and taught him so much – he is a much better listener, and a much calmer dog, now that we can communicate better and he knows the expectations! Thank you Savannah!” -Lena C

“Savannah is fantastic with our two huskies! She’s caring, reliable, and keeps us updated with photos so we know they’re happy. Highly recommend her to anyone needing a trustworthy pet sitter!” -Sebastian M

Let’s Make Training Simple: FAQs

Q: What behaviors can you work on during Board & Train?

A: We customize each stay to your goals—puppy foundations (sit, stay, recall, potty training), leash manners, polite greetings, confidence building, and even mild behavior concerns like reactivity

Q: What types of problems do you help with?

A: From basic manners (sit, stay, recall) to leash pulling, barking, reactivity, resource guarding, and aggression—if your dog struggles, we can create a plan to help.

Q: What training methods do you use?

A: I use positive reinforcement and force-free methods based on science and modern dog behavior research. My goal is to create lasting results while keeping training fun and stress-free for both you and your dog.

A: I specialize in personalized, in-home training and enrichment outings, so your dog learns in real-life settings. I also focus on creating strong communication between you and your dog, not just quick fixes.

Q: Where do sessions take place?

A: Most sessions happen in your home or out in the community (parks, trails, neighborhoods) depending on your dog’s training needs

Q: Do you travel outside the Denver metro area?

A: Yes, I serve the Denver metro and surrounding areas. Travel fees may apply for locations outside my regular service area.

Q: My dog is a puppy—when should we start training?

A: As early as 8 weeks! Early training sets the foundation for a lifetime of good behavior.

Q: What if I’ve already tried training before?

A: Don’t worry—many of my clients come to me after other methods haven’t worked. I create custom plans to address your dog’s unique needs.
